TOURIST GUIDENCE FOR ASHTAVINAYAKA YATRA
(PILGRIMAGE)
Nowadays number of travelling companies conducts
Ashtavinayaka Tour for 2-3 days. However, devotees who are
also interested in sight seeing besides Pooja-Abhishek can
hire some vehicle, form a group of eight to ten people &
go for trip. For doing individual trip following route in
suggested.
1st Day: Start
from Mumbai & first go to Mahad. At Mahad have darshan
of Varadvinayak and then proceed to Pali. On the way to
Pali, stop at Lonavala & have darshan of Ekviradevi
on mountain. On reaching to Pali have darshan of Shri Ballaleshwar.
Pali is famous for tasty papads. You can buy papads &
proceed to Theur in Pune district.
2nd Day: Early
in the morning have darshan of Shri Chintamani & then
go to see Satis Smarak on the bank of river Mutha. Leave
Theur & proceed to Morgaon. On the way to Morgaon take
a halt at Jejuri & have darshan of God Khandoba. On
reaching to Morgaon have darshan of Shri Mayureshwar &
then proceed to Siddhatek. After having darshan of Shri
Siddhivinayak of Siddhatek go to Ranjangaon & have darshan
of Shri Mahaganapati. Have a night stay at Ranjangaon.
3rd Day: Early
in the morning leave Ranjangaon & proceed to Lenyadri.
On the way to Lenyadri, you will come across the place Manchar.
70 kms from this Manchar the road leads to BhimaShankar,
one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Bhagvan Mahadev. Have
darshan of Bholenath & then proceed to Lenyadri. Take
a night halt at Lenyadri.
4th Day: Early
in the morning climb up 307 steps of Lenyadri & have
darshan of Girijatmaj. Have your breakfast & then go
to see fort Shivneri just near to Lenyadri. From Lenyadri
you can proceed to Ozar for getting Vighneshwar's blessing.
In the afternoon have your meal & leave Ozar. Return
back to Mumbai via Otur, Malshej Ghat, Bapsai, and Kalyan
& Thane.
